The ELECT (Education Leading to Employment and Career Training) Teen Parenting Program, offered through Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV, provides support services to pregnant and parenting teenagers. Three coordinators serve Butler, Lawrence and Mercer Counties.
The focus of the program is to help students graduate from high school, prepare for their future and become successful parents.
The ELECT program is available to both male and female students who are working towards a degree (high school or GED) and is a resource for families of the young parent involved in the program.
